Watch D.O.G.S.

Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads Of Great Students) are fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and other father-figures who volunteer for at least one day each year at an official Watch D.O.G.S. ® school.

​During the day, Watch D.O.G.S. may read and work on flash cards with students, play at recess, eat lunch with students, watch the school entrances and hallways, assist with traffic flow and any other assigned activities where they actively engage with not only their own students, but other students as well. Many school principals have reported that the mere presence of a WatchDOG dramatically reduces reports of bullying. On the day of their participation, Watch D.O.G.S. are given a brief review of their involvement and they wear an official Watch D.O.G.S. ® t-shirt with a disposable ‘Dog Tag’ identifying them as Watch D.O.G.S.

To participate in the program, please complete the following steps:

1. Complete the Canyons District Volunteer Application Form.
2. Complete the Watch D.O.G.S. Registration Form. Submit to the Ridgecrest Office.
3. Submit the $20.00 Enrollment Fee (Includes a Watch D.O.G.S. t-shirt and your PTA Membership and can be paid online with the PayPal button below or through the Ridgecrest Office.  Please note that if you are unable to pay the fee due to financial considerations, you may complete the other steps and still participate in the program.  Day use t-shirts are available in the office.)
